Biography: Ramida Aga-Dadash Keramova (nationality - Azerbaijanian) was born on 22.09.1947 in Baku, Azerbaijan. She is a Doctor of geological-mineralogical sciences of RAS and ANAS, associate professor. In 1971 she graduated from geological faculty of ASU named after S.M.Kirov (now BSU) on specialty of “Mineral Exploration”. In 1971 she finished a postgraduate course of ASU named after S.M.Kirov on specialty of “Hydrogeology”. She is the first scientist in the world who made the complex researches of geochemical processes in the system “containing rock-water-bottom sediment”. They have been reflected in the Candidate’s dissertation on the subject “Nitric-hydrogen-sulfide mineral waters of north-east side of the Big Caucasus and their economic value” (1979 - Baku, ASU named after S.M.Kirov, 1981 - Moscow, Geological Exploration Institute named after S.Orjonokidze). In 1979 - 1983, instructed by the management of Republic Seismological Centre of ANAS (RSC ANAS), for the first time in Azerbaijan she organized the twelve-month seismic-geochemical monitoring of fluids in seismic zones of the Republic. Since 1983 till now (2012) R.A.Keramova has been working as a head of Department of Seismic Geochemistry (DSGC) of RSC ANAS. New scientific data received by her on the joint of three sciences (geochemistry, hydrogeology, seismology) were summarized in doctoral dissertation on subject “Seismicity and geochemical fields of fluids of Azerbaijan” (2004 - Moscow, Institute of Earth Physics of RAS). The major outcome of seismic-fluid-geodynamical researches of R.A. Keramova for the period of 1979 - 2012 are the works in 3 directions: a) experimental – the organization and carrying out of the twelve-month monitoring of fluids (seismic-geochemical and seismic-hydro-geological); b) theoretical – in the sphere if seismic forecast; c) creation of mathematical algorithms for software of technology of operating assessment of seismic situation on geochemical fields of fluids in real time (SEISMOGEOCHEMICAL on-line) which has been applied in DSGC RSC ANAS. It includes: a) four express methods for automatic calculation of diapasons of 3 main parameters of earthquake forecast on seismic-geochemical fields of fluids (daily revelation of anomalies in the flow of 197 values of seismic-geochemical monitoring, calculation of magnitude diapasons, location of the source and the time of realizing of the forecasted earthquake); b) “Atlas of seismic-geochemical “portraits” of earthquake sources of the Caspian Sea water area and territory of Azerbaijan (1986-2012)”; c) “Atlas of seismic-geochemical “portraits” of strong and catastrophic earthquake sources (1986-2012) of Anatolian-Iranian-Caucasian tectonic block; d) “Atlas of etalons of seismic-geochemical “portraits” of sources of strong and catastrophic earthquakes” (1986-2012)”. R.A. Keramova is the author of more than 80 scientific works and a co-author of 2 monographs (Book “Geology of Azerbaijan”. Earth Physics, vol. V” and “Catalogue of seismic forecasting observations on the territory of Azerbaijan in 2002”). Representing the science of our country she more than once made a speech on international symposiums.
